Internal Medicine

Favorite/most memorable patient moment:

Early in my career, I treated a patient who was anxious about his 50th wedding anniversary. His party went great and on his next visit, he hugged me and danced me in a circle to say “thank you.” I learned it’s OK to hug and be human with your patients.

To me, treating people well means:

Being thorough and thoughtful and listening
